Gail Kim and Madison Rayne have emerged victorious from the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament at TNA Victory Road, capturing the vacant championships in a thrilling finals match against Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

Rise To The Top

The tournament, which began on the April 17 episode of Impact Wrestling, featured eight teams competing in a single-elimination bracket. Spitfire advanced to the finals after defeating The Beautiful People in the opening round and The Dollhouse in the semifinals.

Love and Sky, the former Knockouts Tag Team Champions, earned their spot in the finals by defeating The Alpha Female and Mickie James in the first round and The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh in the semifinals.

A Hard-Fought Battle

The finals match was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading momentum throughout the contest. Spitfire gained the upper hand early on, but Love and Sky rallied back to take control of the match. In the end, it was Kim who hit her signature Eat Defeat on Sky to secure the victory for her team.

With their victory, Kim and Rayne become the first-ever Knockouts Tag Team Champions. The titles were created in 2013, but were vacated in 2015 when The Beautiful People left TNA.
